Job Summary
Administers and coordinates activities involved in the development and revision of major proposals. The Proposal Specialist operates as a core member of proposal pursuit teams. The Proposal Specialist is directly responsible for proposal process training, establishing and managing to proposal development quality standards, scheduling and managing all activities and resources required for proposal development, for establishing proposal structures that are compliant and responsive to customer RFPs, for maintaining, deploying, and enforcing the use of standard proposal templates, and for decision making within proposal teams that will result in a high quality proposal being submitted to the customer. The Proposal Specialist is responsible for the integration of related business development and project management activities that are pertinent to proposals, including competitive intelligence and risk identification, management, and mitigation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Entry level understanding of, and ability to schedule proposal development activities consistent with internal proposal development process.
  • Participates in SPD, graphics, mockup, and writing workshops and supports agreed implementation activities.
  • Responsible for resource identification and management on assigned proposal projects.
  • Responsible for team milestone scheduling and tracking on assigned proposal projects.
  • Responsible for proposal writing status accounting and reporting to the capture manager.
  • Responsible for identifying, scheduling, and coordinating non-advocacy reviews.
  • Responsible for identifying and tailoring proposal publishing standards consistent with RFP proposal preparation instructions.
  • Responsible for the coordination and integration of content across all proposal volumes, including pricing, technical, management, and past performance.
  • Understands the sources of, and access to, proposal reuse materials and techniques.
  • Responsible for proposal quality assessments and proposal metrics collection on assigned projects.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma or at least 3-6 years of related experience
  • Hands on experience in preparing business proposals for bids
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one go 
  • Experience in the Aviation industry would be an added advantage
  • 10% to 20% business travel
