R&D Specialist - System Accuracy

Primary Functions:

- Define measures to improve the accuracy of robot systems for SMT applications.

- Measure and verify the acuracy of robot systems for SMT applications.

- Development of mathematic methods for the correction of physical effects like temperature expansion, deformations and tolerances of manufacturing to increase the accuracy of robot systems.    

- Define accuracy tests and sequences, execution of the tests, self-reliant analysis of the data and generation of corresponding statements about the accuracy.          

- Develop and maintain the necessary tools for data analysis for placement accuracy and influencing effects.

- Together with Product Management, Project Management, Integration, and Development definition of Placement Accuracy (for heads and machines) in consideration of other KPIs like Placement Performance  Robustness, Usability, Maintainability, and Serviceability as well as balancing these KPIs against each other.

- Management of interdisciplinary teams for accuracy.

- Analyzing requirements and developing system compatible architectures and concepts for new SIPLACE features. Taking into account the SCM and Service processes and the given project and system constraints (time, budget, resources, …) in all phases of the PLM Process (MEM, Projects and Releases, Sustaining, Pre-Development and Technology)

- Ensuring the compatibility of the solution from system point of view, taking into account all system elements required for the solution (Hardware, Software) inclusive their internal and external interfaces.

- Quality assurance: Ensure and monitor the system architecture integrity, especially in early analysis and design phases. Support during all development and product life cycle phases (implementation, integration, testing, and operation at the customer).


 - Knowledge of accuracy determining physical, technical and mathematical relationship of mechatronic systems.

- Knowledge of the customer processing the Backend area for manufacturing of semiconductors.

- Team skills and capability in the leadership of interdisciplinary teams.

- Study of Mathematics, Physics, Mechatronic or similar study paths.

- Desirable: Professional experience in the development of mechatronic systems.

- Desirable: Intercultural experience in the Asia culture.
